A story of friendship and life
I wake up and notice the water is coming to life. Some souls are casting ancient spells over the fountain. I pay close attention to them. Right before fainting, I begged them to teach me how to revive my dead friend. In exchange, I would give them my own soul. What they don’t know is that fulfilling such a promise is impossible, because I have no soul.
I want to/need to find a way to pay them back. I must act quickly; they will soon need me to give what I promised. Otherwise, they might not help me, or even worse. Suddenly, I remember what a magic grandmaster told me. In order to recover my soul, I must have the forgiveness of all those whom I have ever hurt. I have already started to get them. However, there is one person whom I have not asked yet: myself.
But I don’t really know how to do this. Yet, the damage is clear: killing my own friend by accident. I was involved in an arduous fight against my long-lasting enemy. As collateral damage, I ended up attacking my very own friend. He was incredibly unfortunate and happened to be there, shouting for me.
Forgiving myself will be no easy task. It doesn’t involve accepting that it was my fault. It was indeed way more difficult. I had to change.
